MAISON LU - LU HOUSE

Un terrain en pente ceinturé sur trois côtés par la voirie. Le garage est implanté dans la partie basse du terrain, au Nord. La maison se place au centre du terrain. Entre les deux, un chemin permet de relier les différents niveaux de rue et d'accéder à la maison. Les pièces principales s'ouvrent sur le Sud, vers un vaste espace de jardin.

A site with a steep slope and surrounded by the road on three sides. The garage is built on the lower part of the site, towards North. The house is built in the center of the site. A walkway between the two buildings links the different levels of the street and allows the access to the house. The main rooms open towards South, towards a large garden.

Un terrain venteux en forte pente avec comme point haut la rue côté Sud. Une belle vue vers les paysages environnants côté Nord. La maison tente de profiter à la fois du soleil du Sud et des vues vers le Nord. Au coeur de la maison, un patio avec piscine permet d'offrir une protection par rapport au vent.

A windy site with a strong steep slope. The highest part of the site is the Street, on the South side. A nice view with the countryside is facing North. The house benefits of the Sun of the South and the views towards North. In the center of the house, a patio with a pool offers protection against wind.

Un terrain triangulaire avec la rue au Nord. La maison se protège de la rue avec une façade presque intégralement aveugle. La maison se décompose en différents volumes avec formes, matériaux, usages et ouvertures différenciés.

The house is built on a triangular shape site, with the Street on its North Side. Therefore the North Elevation is almost blind. The house is divided in differents volumes with different shapes, materials, uses and openings.

Un terrain plat, orienté plein Sud. La maison se divise en deux volumes. Au Nord le garage protège le volume principal de la maison de la rue. Entre les deux, un patio. Les pièces de la maison s'organisent tout en longueur et sont toutes orientées vers le Sud et sa large terrasse.

A flat land, towards South. The house is divided in two volumes. On the North Side, the garages protect the main house from the street. Between the two volumes, one patio. The rooms are built in the length of the house. All the rooms open towards South and the large deck.

Une maison de standing avec de vastes surfaces de réception. Le propriétaire a une collection de voitures.

MAISON WE - WE HOUSE

Un terrain en coeur de village. Deux accès principaux à ce terrain avec un dénivelé entre eux d'environ 3 mètres. La maison devait pouvoir être scindée en deux, la partie basse étant utilisée lors des visites de la famille. La maison est donc conçue selon une superposition de trois couche, avec des volumes, matériaux et styles différents.

A site in the center of the village, with two main accesses. These accesses have a level difference of altitude (approx. 3m). The house should be able to be split into two parts, the lower part only used during family visits. Therefore, the house is designed in layers with different volumes, materials and design.

La commune de 350 habitants souhaite construire une salle polyvalente accolée à sa mairie tout en maintenant un accès à l'appartement situé à l'étage. L'entrée de la nouvelle salle se place entre les deux bâtiments existants. La salle se positionne sur le reste du terrain et s'ouvre largement vers l'extérieur. Son toit végétalisé à plusieurs pans offre une dynamique visuel et servira de repère pour la salle.

The small town of 350 inhabitants wants to build a new hall next to its town house. The access to the apartment situated on the second floor must be preserved. The new access to the hall is situated between the existing builings. The hall is built on the back of the site and opens with large windows. The green roof with its complex shape will be the symbol of this hall.
